Regalo Central was founded in 2007 by an enterprising Filipina. In 2010, this novel business was turned over to EDWARD MICHAEL M. CRUZ, a native of the Philippines.
Michael grew up in Kalookan City, Philippines. He got his education in the following institutions: Notre Dame of Greater Manila, Don Bosco Juniorate and San Beda College. His family owns Edward Marcs Philippines, Inc. (EMPI), founded in 1984. This is where he learned his business sense working his way up the ranks, gaining the highest position of Marketing and Sales Manager. EMPI is involved with trading electro-mechanical equipment and renewable energy (solar panels).
Michael managed another family-owned business, a water refilling station; and personally owned a cyber café for a couple of years. He also had a brief stint for a Starbucks branch in the Philippines as an Assistant Store Manager.
Michael has been based in New York since 2007, with his wife, Ma. Michelle M. Quimosing-Cruz, a medical doctor and a physical therapist; and their two lovely daughters.

Our focus is on the overseas Filipino worker populations who have families, relatives and friends in the Philippines that they regularly communicate with and send gifts to during special occasions.
We also want to make it affordable and convenient for customers in the Philippines to purchase gifts for their family and friends in the United States (US) and Canada.

Through the Pabili personal shopping service, we offer more choices and a wider range of products and services than most online gift stores and portals. We customize shopping by accommodating specific orders and requests from both Philippine-based and US/Canada-based clients.
Through the Padala service, gift-giving does not only go one way. We address the need of Philippine-based customers to send gifts to family and friends in the US and Canada to express appreciation or to celebrate important occasions and milestones, but have always considered the cost to be too expensive.
With the Patakbo service, we provide a new and innovative solution for the clients’ document needs in order to assist US-based individuals with their document requirements for state licensures, job applications and wedding/marriage requirements.
